METASURFACE TECHNOLOGY
Imagia is at the forefront of developing optical metasurfaces for white light operation, under ambient illumination conditions. No specialized lasers or light sources are required, enabled in large part by our proprietary materials. Our filters are fabricated via semiconductor wafer processing techniques, and are compatible with CMOS imaging sensors.
UNIQUE SOLUTIONS
We have years of experience developing unique optical elements, both 1D and 2D metasurfaces, as well as an extensive patent portfolio covering materials, processes, and designs. We have unique insight into how meta-optics can provide system-wide benefits for advanced display and imaging systems. Processing Optics™ by Imagia is the most ambitious application we have tackled yet - leveraging our expertise to revolutionize computer vision at the edge.
PASSIVE PROCESSING
Imagia leverages breakthrough metamaterials technology to create functional optical elements that perform mathematical convolutions passively. For example, a metasurface can act as a spatial filter to produce an edge detection output. Edge detection is a fundamental building block for higher-order computer vision functions like feature recognition, object identification, and image segmentation.
