Achieve finely-tuned light emission patterns in a single photonic layer at the pixel or sub-pixel level. Leverage our patented metasurface technology for collimating the emission of Lambertian LEDs across the visible spectrum.
The focused emission can result in improved brightness and apparent resolution with reduced crosstalk for flat-panel displays. It can also enable higher-efficiency coupling with waveguides and improved etendue for AR displays.
For maximal performance, the metasurface should be co-designed with the emitter. In this case, the photonic layer can dramatically improve the extraction efficiency of micro-LEDs.
